MAPS-a work in progress.

When the Lord impressed on me the need and led me to a possible solution, I thought this would just be something our church did, with our church kids. But the need is greater than that, and as a local pastor, I know very well the struggles of a local church in affording, finding, and implementing changes and cultivating growth. My wife and I have both sensed that the Lord wants us to make the Missionary Adventure Prayer Squad something that ANY church could easily implement, and then grow as the Lord provides. Below you will see the path that we are prayerfully following, and how you can partner with us if you share a vision for the next generation of Missionaries and Missionary Supporters.

    Step by Step. 

    Phase 1:  Funding for this phase has been provided by the New Beginnings Church of Myerstow, PA, the First Christian Church of St. Francis, KS, and personal donations

    • Launch MAPS at New Beginnings Church (completed July 2025) 

    • Prepare a Curriculum for distribution to other churches by creating a website, writing manuals, and working out the logistics of awards and prizes. (completed September 2025)

    • Prepare to launch MAPS 501 (c) (3) to facilitate distribution and support for other churches adopting the MAPS curriculum. (in progress)

    Phase 2: (coming soon!) Funding for this phase is provided by personal donations to MAPS 501 (c) (3), and at-will donations from churches receiving the curriculum.

    • Launch 501c3 with a qualified, mission-minded Board of Directors 

    • Grow program as led by and provided by the Lord, facilitating the raising up of the next generation of Missionaries and Missionary Supporters in as many churches as possible. 

    • Begin growing a fund for sending MAPS graduates on short or long-term mission trips

    • Begin growing a fund for long-term support of full-time missionaries directly from the program. 

    Your Partnership:
    a note from the leadership

    There are 3 priorities I have for MAPS as a program

    1. MAPS should remain local-church centric and not be "parachurch". 

    2. MAPS should have the highest level of dedication to missions. All resources should be stewarded as directly as possible to mission development, support, or education. 

    3. MAPS will set the example in transparency. I want people who partner with us to know that I share an URGENCY for missions; this is not a game, there are souls on the line. You will always know how the money God leads you to share with us is used. 

    Currently, MAPS is in Phase 1 of growth. As such, we are operating under the 501c3, and oversight of our local church. If you make a donation, it will be used to sustain the local MAPS program at our church (25%)  and used to help us prepare MAPS to be shared with other churches (75%).  Any extra funds are dispersed to missionaries..

    It is also important that you know MAPS needs to be supported in the same our our Missionaries do: by finances and by prayer. These 2 things seem simple, but they are truly what support looks like. Please pray for us at MAPS to be able to reach children not only in our local church, but in as many churches as possible.
